It's A See You Soon, Not A Goodbye!

As we had anticipated, today (May 19th) a bed became available for Eira on Island Ward at Noah's Ark Children Hospital, luckily, we had managed to get the majority of our things packed over the weekend ready for our departure from Ty Hafan, and the haven that it is.

If today's chapter of Eira's Story is to say one thing, it is Thank You, Thank You to every single person at Ty Hafan that has made our time there as comfortable as possible, at a time when we were most vulnerable.

Every single nurse who not only took care of Eira, but also took care of us as parents, and also Angharad, even those nurses that didn't necessarily look after us directly, but would always stop us to see the girls and ask if we needed anything, even going as far as organising a cake and a gift on my birthday. Thank You, you are all truly brilliant at what you do, and there are far too many of you to name individually.

To Alice and Hilary, who continue to go above and beyond to ensure we are as looked after as possible, even turning the ball pit room into Santa's Grotto just for Eira! Not one minute at Ty Hafan was spent hungry, thanks to Gareth, Rob, Paul & Julia in the kitchen, we will definitely be back for a Sunday Lunch and I'll be sure to offer my services in the kitchen whenever I can.

To the support staff who were all more than happy to just listen to our concerns, listen to our rants, and just generally be there as someone to talk to, your support is invaluable. Thank You.

To the housekeeping team led by Roma, always keeping the place spotless and Mimi was definitely a favourite with Angharad.

As we begin the next chapter in Noah's Ark Children's Hospital, we know that Ty Hafan will always be there for us as a family, and we will definitely be back, even if its just for a cuppa.

This is definitely not goodbye, but see you soon Ty Hafan!
